Kitchens by Lawrence is an extention of the quality refinishing for which L. Ciuffo Studios has become known. L. Ciuffo Studios is offering through its Kitchen Company, the same color quality and refinishing found in furniture refinishing.
Your kitchen cabinets will be expertly stripped and prepped for refinishing in the color of your choice. We will provie a sample color for your approval on one of your existing doors in order to show you the end result with your wood.
Your kitchen will be properly marked and protected for stripping and lacquer application. All doors and drawers will be removed and taken to our shop for stipping and final prep. Any repairs will be done in our shop. The frames will be stripped in your home and prepared for stain and lacquer.
Our stains are custom mixed to your color needs. We apply a minimum of 2 coats of vinyl sealer as a moisture barrier. After all color is applied an approved by you, the owner, we will apply the final coats of catalyzed lacquer to your cabinets. We offer our lacquers in three sheens; satin, semigloss and gloss. All finishes are applied as gun finishes with no rubbing required.

The following is a list of Does an Don'ts:

1. Do NOT schedule a painter before us.
2. Wait until we're done to schedule counters and floors.
3. You must be available in your home on Color Day.
4. All cabinets must be empty prior to the start of stripping.
5. We must have access to your kitchen for five days in a row, minimum.
6. If your spouse must approve color, please have him/her there when we color. Redos cost extra.
7. Final Payment is expected on the day of completion.
8. Pick up items will be rescheduled in the following week.

POLICIES AND PROCEEDURES FOR KITCHEN REFINISHING and INTERIOR WOODWORK

Procedures to Customers:

The Kitchen to be Refinished must be available for a minimum of 4 working days Kitchen cabinets must be completely empty before we begin. Access must be made available for our crew to enter your kitchen/home and to the work necessary to mask off to complete the Stripping and Finishing Process between the hours of
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (unless otherwise arranged)
At times we may not be working in your home, but we are still working on your Doors and Drawers in our shop.
We are in your Home to do Refinishing only. We will do everything in our power to protect your Home. We cannot be held responsible for plumbing and electrical problems prior to our arrival.
We are not trained in moving and reconnecting TV-VCR-Audio Equipment, Etc. If you ask us to move them we cannot be held responsible if they do not work later.
We cannot guarantee that our taping will not pull paint off your walls - you will need to do the touch up if necessary. Any Faux Finishes that you will be putting on your walls, must be done after we have completely refinished your cabinets.

Payment Policy:

It is our policy that a ten percent (10%) deposit be made upon signing of the work proposal, this will also reserve your time space in our schedule. An additional thirty percent (30%) is due when all stripping is complete, unless other arrangements have been made. The balance must be paid when the work is complete and approved by the owner and the work area has been cleaned up. All approvals must be made prior to finish lacquer application.
